HELLO WORLD! :)

This is Méabh, I have a blog about taking risks, but this blog is going to be RISK - FREE ! A total break from my risky life :) I'm just going to ramble on about anything and everything! Right now my life consists of school, school, school. I'm in my last year in school. fml. I have TOO MUCH STUDY TO DO. I tried to study today, here is what my desk looked like: (yes that is a copy of Eat Pray Love. what. a. book.)

I swear, my history copy is under there somewhere! I was reading my history book, and Marilyn Monroe is one of the (hundred or so) key personalities on our course. I'm guessing that she won't be on the exam because our teacher never mentioned her but I got very excited when I seen this, as I LOVE HER, and she is on the cover of this months Vanity Fair (which I also love):

So, this all excited me greatly. I was thinking about what could come up on my pre-mock exam in a month, and there is an American History question and a European History question. Imagine if Marilyn Monroe and Mussolini came up! (We will come to the Mussolini thing some other day) I am a bit obsessed with History, it is my only good subject. (Along with Music, but that does not take effort, and is so uninteresting.) Marilyn Monroe had such a difficult life, yet women in America idolised her at the time, she was what they all wanted to be. Did they not see the pain and suffering she endured? She was such an amazing woman, I feel so sorry to think of how she died. Not that I know how she died, but I don't think she did it to herself, I think it was an accident. I like to think like this.

So if you are from Ireland/UK you will have watched the X Factor? How amazing was Cher Lloyd????? I honestly think it was the best X Factor performance ever. I cried. I think it is so unbelievable how she managed to portray that emotion, I got every word of it. And I have never heard that song before. Usually I need to hear a song a few times before I get the message, but Cher made that message painfully clear. The audience were cheering the whole time and she still managed to stay focused, to stay in her world, for the total duration of the show. She was still crying a half an hour later on the Xtra Factor. Thats how emotionally involved she got with the song. I'm sorry I'm babbling but she really blew me away, she is only 16, such an inspiration. Such a lovely lovely girl :) Watch the video, and if you're from Ireland/UK vote for her :)
